The 26-year-old LPGA star recently shared a lighthearted moment with reporters, revealing that she timed her manicure appointment around McIlroy’s round at Augusta National, where he was chasing the one major title that has eluded him: The Masters.
“I was literally sitting there, hands under the UV light, watching Rory on my phone,” Ko said with a laugh. “There was no way I was going to miss that. I mean, it’s not every day someone has a shot at the Grand Slam.”
McIlroy, a four-time major winner, has been trying to capture The Masters to complete golf’s most elite achievement. And for Ko, a longtime fan and fellow competitor on the global golf stage, it was a moment she wasn’t willing to skip—even if it meant multitasking during a bit of self-care.
