However, in December 2023, she announced a recurrence of the cancer and is undergoing treatment once again.
Beyond her health challenges, Evert is embracing the role of a grandmother. In May 2024, she welcomed her first grandchild, Hayden Mill, born to her son Nicholas and his wife Rebecca. Evert expressed immense joy in witnessing her son become a father and cherishing the new addition to the family.
