Brooke Henderson Ditches Glasses for 2025, Aims to End LPGA Victory Drought at TOC

Canadian golf sensation Brooke Henderson has made a notable change in her on-course appearance for the 2025 season by opting to play without her previously worn glasses. This decision comes as she prepares to compete in the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions (TOC), aiming to end her current victory drought on the LPGA Tour.

Henderson, a two-time major champion, began wearing glasses during tournaments in August 2023, starting at the CPKC Women’s Open in Vancouver. She had previously worn glasses off the course but had never competed with them. At that time, she explained that the change was to improve her vision on the course and reduce reliance on her sister and caddie, Brittany. “It’s really nice to be able to see some things,” Henderson remarked, expressing optimism that the glasses would enhance her game.

However, as the 2025 season commences, Henderson has chosen to forgo the eyewear. While specific reasons for this decision have not been publicly detailed, it suggests a strategic move to return to her previous playing conditions as she seeks to recapture her winning form.

The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, scheduled from January 30 to February 2 at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Florida, features a competitive field, including notable players like Lydia Ko and Nelly Korda. Henderson’s participation in this event underscores her determination to secure a victory early in the season.

As Henderson tees off without her glasses, fans and analysts alike will be keen to observe how this adjustment impacts her performance. Her commitment to refining her game and making necessary changes highlights her dedication to maintaining her status as one of the top competitors on the LPGA Tour.
