Brooke Henderson Raises $27K for Canadian Kids at Ottawa Junior Clinic With Skechers
Ottawa, ON – June 2025 — Canadian golf superstar Brooke Henderson proved once again that her impact reaches far beyond the fairways, as she helped raise over $27,000 for children’s charities during a heartwarming junior golf clinic in Ottawa, co-hosted with long-time sponsor Skechers.
The event, held at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, brought together more than 100 junior golfers for a day of learning, laughter, and inspiration. Alongside her sister and caddie, Brittany Henderson, Brooke led putting drills, swing tutorials, and on-course demonstrations. But more importantly, she shared her personal journey from a small-town Ontario girl to a 13-time LPGA Tour champion.
The highlight of the day wasn’t just the presence of Canada’s top-ranked female golfer—it was the charitable outcome. The event successfully raised $27,365, with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation, and the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
> “Giving back to my community is something I’ve always been passionate about,” Henderson said. “It’s especially meaningful to support kids, hospitals, and the environment—all causes close to my heart.”
Skechers, Henderson’s official footwear sponsor, played a major role in organizing the event, providing custom merchandise for the kids and donating a portion of product sales toward the fundraising total.
> “We’re proud to stand beside Brooke not just because she’s an elite athlete, but because she’s an exceptional role model,” said a Skechers Canada representative. “Her commitment to Canadian youth and wellness reflects everything we believe in.”
The day concluded with a Q&A session where Brooke fielded questions from star-struck junior golfers, offering insights into her routine, her favorite course (hint: Augusta National), and what keeps her grounded despite the pressures of the international spotlight.
This junior clinic is one of several community outreach events Henderson has planned for 2025, as she continues balancing her pursuit of LPGA titles with efforts to uplift the next generation.
With a world-class swing and a heart to match, Brooke Henderson remains not only Canada’s golf icon but one of its most cherished ambassadors.
