Novak Djokovic and Wife Jelena Disagree Over Children’s Cell Phone Use

Renowned tennis champion Novak Djokovic has revealed that he and his wife, Jelena, have differing opinions regarding whether their children should have cell phones. The couple, married since 2014, are parents to Stefan, 9, and Tara, 7. Djokovic shared that their children often express frustration about not having mobile devices, noting, “The kids complain, ‘At school, everyone has one except us.'”

Djokovic emphasized his belief in not following societal trends blindly, stating, “If everyone does something, the herd behaves like this, you have to follow them. Well, it doesn’t have to be like that.” He highlighted that he and Jelena aim to instill individuality and active engagement in their children’s upbringing.

Beyond the cell phone debate, Djokovic takes an active role in promoting a healthy lifestyle for his children. He mentioned, “Out of the two parents, I am the one who is responsible for their activities, sports, healthy lifestyle.” He encourages them to participate in various sports and emphasizes the importance of staying active.

This parenting approach has led to discussions between Djokovic and Jelena about balancing modern technology use with fostering an active and engaged lifestyle for their children. While their children may currently be without cell phones, Djokovic remains committed to guiding them towards a lifestyle that prioritizes physical activity and personal growth.
