Dorota Kucharska was born in Krakow, Poland, on February 12, 1966. She got married to Tomasz Swiatek in 1992. The Polish couple was blessed with a baby girl on 31 May 2001 in Warsaw, Poland, and they named her Iga Swiatek.
Dorota Swiatek is a highly educated lady who has specialized in dentistry as an orthodontist while her husband is a former rower who competed in the men’s quadruple sculls event at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Dorota graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, 1st Medical Faculty of Warsaw Medical University.
The couple has another daughter named Agata who is almost three years older than Iga. Agata tried her hand at swimming when she was young but later she switched to tennis. Iga also followed suit. Dorota supported both her daughters in their respective careers. Agata is following in the footsteps of her mother and studying medicine to become a full-time dentist. Dorota inspired both her daughters to give equal focus on education and complete graduation.
Dorota cuts a humble figure and treats her patients with utmost care at a private hospital. She doesn’t like to hog the spotlight and shutterbugs seldom get a chance to click her pictures on the courts where Swiatek annihilates her opponents.
However, Dorota has always been supportive of her daughter Iga when it comes to tennis and has always helped her navigate tricky situations in her career.
