After years of being recognized not only for her powerful swing but also for her trademark glasses, Canadian golf star Brooke Henderson is stepping into the 2025 LPGA season with a bold new look — and an even bolder mindset.
Following successful eye surgery in September, Henderson has traded in her glasses for contact lenses, a change she says is more than cosmetic. “It’s a fresh start in many ways,” Henderson shared in a recent interview. “The surgery gave me clearer vision, and it’s also helped boost my confidence. I feel like I can read greens and track the ball just a little better, and those margins matter at this level.”
The 13-time LPGA Tour winner and two-time major champion is using this change as a symbolic reset after what she described as an “up-and-down” 2024 season. Despite flashes of brilliance, Henderson struggled with consistency and missed key cuts, including at major championships. But with her health improved and her sights set on a strong comeback, she’s eyeing the Tournament of Champions as the first major step in her 2025 campaign.
“My goals haven’t changed — I want to win, I want to contend in majors, and I want to keep improving,” Henderson said. “But I think I’m entering this season with a clearer perspective — literally and mentally.”
