Brooke Henderson Returns to LPGA Tour with Renewed Vision Post Eye Surgery

After a brief hiatus from competition, Canadian golf star Brooke Henderson is set to return to the LPGA Tour with a fresh outlook—literally and figuratively—following successful eye surgery earlier this year.

The 27-year-old, who has been one of the Tour’s most consistent performers over the past decade, announced her return after undergoing a corrective eye procedure that addressed lingering vision issues. The surgery, which she described as “life-changing,” was completed in early 2025 and required a recovery period that kept her off the course for several weeks.

“I didn’t realize how much my vision had been affecting my game until after the surgery,” Henderson said during a media appearance ahead of her comeback tournament. “Everything is sharper now—reading greens, judging distances, even just seeing the ball off the tee feels so much better. It’s a huge confidence boost.”

Henderson, a two-time major champion and Canada’s all-time winningest professional golfer, last competed in March before stepping away to address her vision concerns. She had noticed a gradual decline in her ability to track the ball and maintain focus under varying light conditions, challenges that had started to impact her scoring and consistency.

With her health now restored, Henderson has been training intensively and working closely with her swing coach and fitness team in preparation for her return. She is scheduled to tee it up next week at the Mizuho Americas Open, where she hopes to build momentum as the summer stretch of major tournaments looms.

“I’ve been practicing with more purpose and precision,” she said. “It’s amazing how something like clearer eyesight can reignite your love for the game. I’m excited to compete again, and I feel like I’m entering a new chapter.”

Fans and fellow players have expressed enthusiasm for Henderson’s return, with many expecting her to quickly re-establish herself as a force on tour. Known for her steady demeanor and powerful swing, Henderson is eyeing another run at a major title in 2025—and with her vision sharpened, the possibilities seem brighter than ever.
